Our first Christmas together has not gone how I "imagined" the "1st Christmas" would go... Joel's been working almost daily at the Chocolate Cottage and we've hardly seen each other which can be a little difficult at times... however that's how life goes. Our tree is missing one of the legs so it's not even up and although Joel took me on a date to buy ornaments for our tree, they are still in the bag because our tree is retarded. I've had to buy pretty much all the Christmas presents for both our familes which has been draining, both on me, and my bank account... as i'm sure Christmas has been for everyone else as well. I guess I'll just have to be on top of things next year so that I can have everything done before Christmas so I don't have to do it all by myself again. Ahh to be ahead of the game, that will be the day.
Now for the good side of life, I have finished Christmas shopping and have not wrapped them all, but that's what tomorrow's for.... and i'll make fudge for all our friends and will be making 2 birthday cakes for my dear friend Amy from my show at Rodgers Memorial Theatre...that's another story in a minute... so tomorrow and friday will be busy and exhausting.. I really should go to bed earlier. haha someday. Also we have Joel's brother, Calvin, coming home from his mission next week which will be exciting, for everyone else, and of course I have yet to meet him so that will be an interesting adventure next week.
So sadly Rogers Memorial will now be closing it's doors and reopening in a different location. The last show, A Christmas Carol, has been amazing I've met so many wonderful people and I know tomorrow night when it's the offical last show on that stage it will be a tearful experience, yesterday was hard enough... Since I came home from my mission in 2008 Rogers has been like a 2nd home to me. Its where I can go to express my talents and to just enjoy life. While I love my husband and family, the Theatre allows us to become someone else for a few hours and to sing and dance and share this joy with people all around us. There is no way to explain exactly what doing shows does for ones soul. It completes us and allows us to be whole. I love doing shows and can't wait to do more over the next few years until I have kids and then when they are old enough to do shows with them as well. That will be so much fun. I am grateful for my husband who supports me, even though he doesnt' understand why I need it. He's great I only hope one day he'll see how much the theater means to me.
Well for now that's my life, crazy as always, it is the holidays after all. Until next time.

Thanksgiving Madness
Ahh.... Thanksgiving, one of my favorite times of year! With my sister in town with her cute kids and no school to think about, the holidays are in full swing. As I sit and watch A Muppets Christmas Carol I am so happy and am so thankful for all that I have. Doing the play A Christmas Carol at Rogers Memorial Theater also helps keep the spirit of the Holidays in my heart. We've been singing Christmas songs since September and now that we get to actually perform and bring joy into others lives, it is such a blessing. I thought i'd make a little things i'm thankful list
-my wonderful husband
-my crazy family
-cars that work
-my kitten
-my friends
-a job to pay bills and save up
-songs that make people happy
-Christmas movies
And so much more I can't even count or list all the things i'm grateful for.
Growing up my family had this tradition that we would always cook and bake the days before Thanksgiving, so this year being married and living in a different house feels a little wierd, but I am so excited to get to go up there and bake all day tomorrow and listen to Christmas music and get everything prepared for our feast! I can't believe it's going to be our smallest Thanksgiving in years! Crazy how fast time goes.

Married Life...
Wow well it's officially been almost 2 years since I've written and how crazy fast have those 2 years gone!!! Now I'm married to a wonderful man who seriously caught me off guard and now we're married... Our wedding was absolutely wonderful, and it can be debated that it was one of the most fun weddings ever! Thanks to my wonderful sister Emily who helped plan it all, it came included with a false ceiling, bounce houses, cotton candy, and snow cones!! A hit for one and all. Minus the fact that Joel broke my bustle on my dress, but it survived the night and the wedding was perfect. (pictures will be to come).
Then we went on a week long honeymoon, driving to California and visiting Disneyland (Joel's first time ever) and had so much fun!!! It was all so relaxing, I wish we could have spent more time on the rides, (learned he's not a big roller coaster fan, oh well to late to back out now...lol just kidding) but we still had a blast and the he surprised me with tickets to see WICKED in San Fransisco (sp?) and it was amazing!! Seriously 2nd row seats, it was phenomenal! I couldn't believe, besides the drive it was an amazing vacation and we had such a good time. Of course then it's time to come back to real life.... work, school.... etc. But that's how it goes and now we're living in a cute little apartment, and of course busy with life so we hardly ever see each other...in fact even on our day off.... He went fishing with Maggie and Robbie. I would have gone too if I wasn't sick....boring!!! I feel so lazy! except being diagnosed with pneumonia...(thank heavens its only slight case and it didn't spread very far) and I have to get better asap cause work and being in a play (of course my choice) and with the holiday's no one wants to be sick, that's just lame!!!!!!!! All with time, and even if I am sick...too bad I have to start doing things next week, Halloween and first graders love to celebrate it... oh and it's the end of the term so needless to say my life is crazy and I wouldn't have it any other way. Without the craziness, I think I would go insane... normally I think it's the opposite way, but oh well, it's not for me. That's just me:)
